EU 1169/2011 sets a minimum x-height of 1.2 mm for mandatory particulars, which is a real constraint on a small pack. We check the layout against that figure before quoting rather than after a rejection.

Packaging and marking
Germany runs the packaging obligation through registration rather than a symbol: whoever first places packaging on the German market registers it in the LUCID register under the VerpackG before the first shipment. That is a filing your importer holds, but it affects who is named on the pack. As an EU market this also sits under the EU packaging regulation, whose first requirements began applying in August 2026 and which will progressively replace the national marking schemes.
